NASCAR SUCKS

(Non-Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks)

Spurned by the effort put forth by ‘Rios in The Booth regarding his distaste for Soccer, The Sports PhD figured why not alienate and piss off more readers. The following chronicles why NASCAR SUCKS:

1. The ‘SC’ in NASCAR stands for stock car. Stock car means these cars are from the factory, or actual models. Last I checked, when buying a Lumina, the Jeff Gordon options package was not available.

2. NASCAR is the largest spectator sport in the States. This is true. It is a spectator sport. You cannot play, since ‘stock’ cars aren’t really used. Can you go out back with your son and play NASCAR? It is the sport of white trash, and they cannot afford these ‘stock’ cars. Ask, “Do you like to play NASCAR?” Is there even a response for that?

3. Those people who wear those ugly pit crew jackets of their favorite driver. I just have to laugh. Do women think this is attractive? They know on a nice summer weekend day, they will be stuck watching racing for 5 hours on TV? This leads to #4.

4. Domestic Violence.

5. The defenders of NASCAR detailing the tailgating and barbecuing which is so good at the races. Last I checked; this is done at most sporting events.

6. How many times have I wrote, “last I checked” so far? Two.

7. Average IQ of NASCAR fan? See #6.

8. Cheating is essential to the sport. I cannot plead ignorance because I have seen specials about this. Removable panels to pass weight check, and multiple alterations between inspection and the race. Very ethical. “Hey Cletus, let’s rob da dem there bank!”

9. The people who drive the “Tricked Out” Monte Carlo’s cause they think they are playing NASCAR. When they are almost home, do they call their wives telling them they need 4 tires?

10. People who call drivers athletes.

11. 4 out of 5 NASCAR fans have 3 teeth.

12. 4 out of 5 NASCAR fans prefer shot gunning a beer.

13. NASCAR drivers have hot chicks. This pisses me off. But does it really? Would I really want some girl who wants a NASCAR driver? My head says no, and I really do not want VD.

20. How does The PhD fix NASCAR? Paint a yellow dotted line down the middle of the track making two lanes. Not a solid lane cause passing is allowed. Run half the cars in one direction on the top half of the track, and the other half the other direction on the bottom half. To pass, you need to pass on the other side of the track, head on with the other cars. Just imagine…

Anabaptism and Pacifism

Pacifism is a term that generally means that peaceful rather than violent or

 aggressive relations should govern human interaction and that arbitration, surrender, or

relocation should be used to resolve disputes. The idea of pacifism is one of the many

ideologies that set the Anabaptist movement apart from the rest of the Protestant

movement. Many people during the early stages of the Anabaptist Movement

considered them radical reformists and they strongly believed that Pacifism was an

essential portion of what they considered “THE” form of Christianity. In September

1524, Conrad Grebel had discussed with his “Church of Believers” the idea of The

Sword which had seemed to lead these “Anabaptists” to embrace the idea of Pacifism.

That statement by Grebel stated; “The gospel and its adherents are not to be protected

by the sword, nor should they protect themselves... True believing Christians are sheep

among wolves, sheep for the slaughter. They must be baptized in anguish and

tribulation, persecution, suffering and death, tried in fire, and must reach the fatherland

o f eternal rest not by slaying the physical but the spiritual. They use neither worldly

sword nor war, since killing has ceased with them entirely.” This statement by Grebel is

saying that his group of believers or “Anabaptists” should not relate themselves with

the government or try to use as many ways as possible to solve disputes without violent

confrontations as humanly possible.

i miss her soo much, i wish i could go back in time where everything that went down didnt happen and i could have her back, i've known her since i was 8. how can this happen?Why is it that when u try to do something with someone they tell u that u shouldnt have done it and make u feel like an ass, but when u wanna do the same thing with the person and u end up not doing they get mad at u         if you are with someone and they make u happy then keep it going, if ur with someone and they make u feel kinda awkward and dont do anything with/for u, then why r u still with that person

BSC, My Home Away From Home

            The BSC is a private swim club that my family belongs to.  It is a place to go in the summer to cool off by the poll, hang out with friends, and have fun.  The pool ranges from three feet deep to six feet deep and a twelve foot diving well that we sometimes get to swim regularly in it.  Over the years I have made many friends there that I hang out with.  Also you can play at the playground or go down to the fields to play baseball or volleyball.  It also has a tennis court.  For the little ones they have a baby pool that is not very deep.  Want something else to do then go to the basketball court to shoot some hoops.  Behind the umbrellas are picnic tables and grills for barbequing.  If you are hungry you can got o the snack bar for burgers and pizza.  They have a game room next to the snack bar for playing foosball and arcade games.

            Down by the entrance you could play shuffle board or ping pong. I and my family would spend endless hours there swimming, diving, eating, talking, and all around having fun.  It was a place where I could be myself and not get rejected for being different.  I do not know what I would have done over my summers without the BSC.  I even learned how to swim there and how to interact with others. 

Senior Goodbye( Dam Yankees)

First off I would like to say that this show was awesome to do and everyone involved did an amazing job. There were a lot of good moments while doing Dam Yankees but there were too many to name so I ‘m just going to say that I’m glad I was there for as many as I could. Now stage crew,  I want to say that ever since I joined stage crew in my sophomore  year I never regretted it not even once, because when I saw Beauty and the Beast here I thought to myself that I want to do that,  so I did and I stuck to my word.  Lou, I want to say that I have faith in you for next year because you learned everything you could from the indestructible Tony, but in all seriousness you learned everything from a pretty good stage manager, because Tony was always the first one to every meeting, showed everyone how to do something if we didn’t know how to do it, he was the last one to leave, and also made sure that everything worked like a well oiled machine back stage and it pretty much did every time.  Lastly I want to say for the seniors on the crew I’m glad to have been with you all for three years and for the rest of crew I’m still grateful to have done stag crew with you all, so thank you all and  good bye.

Relationships

I think that many of the relationships out there fall to an end is that people have a tendency to focus on impressing the person they are with instead of trying to get to know them. Sometimes people tell each other things so that you can make that other person like you for what you had told them but what makes people think that the other person already has a reason to like you. So there may not be a reason that you have to go out and completely focus on the impressing and in a way forcing somebody to like you even if you don’t think you are forcing someone. When I say you are forcing someone to like you I mean that you come up with things that you think the other person will like strictly for the idea of them to like you and to be with that person, so in a way that is forcing someone to like you. What I think needs to be done is that people need to focus on really getting to know the person before you take the next step with them, try to get to know as much as you can so that it can really be told whether or not two people can be together and whether or not the relationship can last.

Summer is over

Wrote this last summer and came across so seems like a good time to put this out there:

summer is over,
and im depressed cause of that
 and im still waiting for the girl

Why do People think the South will Still rise again?

Why do people in the south believe that the south will rise again, i have no idea but that makes them crazy sons of bitches. I remember one time i was at work and I was waiting on a customer at work i turned around and saw the greatest thing in the world.  a bald headed guy with the confederate flag tattoed on his head, a confederate flag shirt  , and he was wearing confedrerate flag shorts. I was thinking to myself that im not black and i wanna kill him, but does that me me an asshole or a guy who cares fopr what is correct. WHy in the world would a guy wear/do something like that to himself and the only reason would be that he is the cream of the crop when it comes to rednecks, he still believes that the south will rise again or he is in the KKK; either way this guy would have had to be the biggest asshole in the world and i wanted to hurt him for doing that to himself.

What are the Crusades?

The Crusades were a number a religiously authorized military campaigns

foregone by the European Medieval Christian Church in order to restore

the Christian control of the Jerusalem (Holy Land). The Holy Land is a very

significant part of the Catholic/Christian faith because, Jesus’ birth, ministry,

crucifixion, and resurrection had occurred. The Church felt that they needed to

 take that back after the Muslims had taken it over because of the Expansion of

the Muslim Seljuk Turks in that area and that did not sit well with the Church.

 There were many good reasons besides the obvious ones that made the crusades

a success, for example, The Crusades had an influence in the European Middle

Ages. The Crusades showed that you can rely on the Church to protect you and

your religious beliefs, because at the beginning of the Crusades, and helped to

keep the Islamic forces out of certain parts of medieval Europe. The Crusades

also helped to open up the Medieval European Church adopt science, medicine,

and architecture due to the prolonged exposure and conflict with Muslim/Islamic

people.

Excommunication and New Ideals

I want to say that I thought that someone could be excommunicated for saying certain things

that go against the church. I read that Martin Luther was excommunicated for going against the church,

partly because he was coming up with different ideals then what was “forced” upon him since he was a

catholic. The Pope told Luther to renounce what he wrote and posted against the church, and it took

several months later when the pope decided to actually excommunicate him from the church because

he didn’t listen to the pope. So, in some instances you can be excommunicated for saying things that

become “unpopular” according to church ideals. On small scale ways of thinking people are allowed to

say what they want but if what they say causes a large scale disruption then they should be deserving of

a large scale punishment. In certain cases, I feel that what I was  taught in religion is being forced upon

myself instead of being what I choose to believe. Sometimes I think that no matter what religion you

 belong to I feel that you are to believe in certain things but it also seems like I can’t incorporate new

ideas into my religion even if I think that some ideas aren’t correct in my eyes but I want be strong in my

religion but I want to try and believe in new ideals.

Gnostic Christianity

Gnostic Christianity is a movement that was not just a religious one but it was

also a philosophical movement. It had roots in pre-Christian times; Gnostics

combined elements taken from Asian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek and Syrian

pagan religions, from astrology, and from Judaism and Christianity. Some of the

Gnostic Christian beliefs were that the Jehovah of the Hebrew Scripture was an

inferior Creator-God. He was viewed as fundamentally evil, jealous, rigid,

lacking in compassion and prone to committing genocide. In addition, the

Gnostics felt little to no discrimination towards women and they seemed to be

 more understanding of outside religions.

The beliefs of Gnosticism seem like a radical approach to Christianity but that is

 what would have attracted people to it, and people were starting to get annoyed

or maybe tired of what was going on with Christianity. The Corruption of the

Church at this time created a lot of animosity between people and the Church so

people started to stray away from the normal standard of Christianity to

something different. The allure of Gnostic Christianity was that God was not

necessarily all knowing or all-powerful and the humans and some control over

what God had set out for people. Christianity in 1500 C.E. would be a more of worshiping an extraordinary human being type of god instead of a more all knowing type of god. Christians would be more self-reliant on religious aspects and there was a greater fear of God not just respect, but a pure fear of God.  In Gnosticism, God was portrayed as someone who could come down upon you and hurt you in any severe many if he felt that

you were doing some thing wrong or you had done something wrong. Since the

people would know of God’s extreme capabilities they would always be on their

toes and watching what they were doing, because they did not want God to kill

them or ruin their lives. People would also have God as the upmost top of

 everything in their lives or God would get jealous and maybe he would do

something to you because they would have made him jealous.

Christianity at this time would be stricter and more reliant on the physical

 structure of  things and how they have a direct impact on your relationship with

God. I am just glad that this form of Christianity did not get into full swing, and

maybe because of all the extremes in this type of Christianity is why they did not

slip through the Christian cracks.

           

Film Adaptations of Books

             Most film adaptations are good ideas because, when people go to the theaters to see the film they sometimes come out of the movie like wow I kind of want to read the book. Also, a lot of the time when books are turned into movies the books themselves gain more popularity because they books are being spread around to everyone even if it’s a movie. There seems to be a large positive marketing for books being turned into movies because the people that make the books/movies make a lot of money and the people watching the movies enjoy them so much that we have 8 Harry Potter Movies and 5 Twilight movies.     I really enjoy the fact that so many books are being turned into movies, some of my favorite books have been turned into books and I could not have been any happier. Probably my favorite books that have been Turned into movies are: Harry Potter, Holes, Jurassic Park, Jaws, GoodFellas (yes that was a book-it was called-Wise guy), and the Godfather. I hope that movies like this keep coming along, because as long as movies like these are being made people will go see them and directors will keep making money , and movies like these will keep gaining popularity.

This example illustrates how small changes in the text affect the ways in which the rhythm of reading works. In the minimalist example from WWTA, the causative ‘but’ is removed and the sentence is divided. It creates a stopping effect, slows the reading down, and in the context of this passage (and story) underscores the feeling of sudden wakefulness or nervous attention. There’s no smooth transition to support from her partner; Cliff (his name itself suggestive of large immovability) remains defiantly unaware of her ordeal. How the story is read, the pace and flow of the text, helps with the minimalist effect

Soaring Eagle

Eagle Scout is a very important part of a man’s life when they come to achieve that goal.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank in Boy Scouts and is an achievement that is hard to achieve because it

takes a lot of dedication and hard work. I started Boy Scouts when I was in the first grade and have been

involved ever since then for a total of thirteen years, from cub scouts to becoming an Eagle Scout. I

started in first grade as a tiger cub, then moved on to become a wolf, then become a bear, then a

weeblo one followed by a weeblo two. Once I was in the sixth grade I was starting Boy Scouts for the

first time, I felt nervous and I was actually thinking about not doing scouts anymore because of how

unsure I was of what I was going to expect. I made my choice to stick with it and try to make it to the

end. I made that promise to myself when I was in the second or third grade when I was in church when

two guys who had made Eagle were presented with plaques with their names on it and I notice the

attention and recognition they got and I said to myself that someday I will become and Eagle Scout. So

I’m a senior in high school now and I’m close to finishing and becoming an Eagle Scout and I only need a

few more requirements to finish up, so I’m working hard not  to disappoint. I finally complete everything

except my board of review, which is when I get asked a series of questions and I need to answer them to

the best of my ability based on the skills that I learned and then they decide if you pass. So I passed, and

I was so happy knowing that I completed what I had wanted from the time I promised myself I would

accomplish Eagle. My parents and I now have a lot of planning to do for my Eagle Court of honor, which

is where I will go through a ceremony with various readings and sayings that end up with me getting

presented with the Eagle Badge. After months of planning the day is finally here, on Saturday May 30,

2009 was the date of my Eagle Scout Court of honor. We are running around getting things done and

now it was time to start the ceremony and I have to parade in to the front of everyone where I am the

center of attention. I begin to feel a great sense of pride in myself when I get seated in the front of the

congregation and everyone is looking at me. We are going through the ceremony and we get to a part

where I get presented with the Eagle Badge and when I get presented with the Badge I stand in front of

everyone and they all start clapping and I finally get to feel the sense of accomplishment and recognition

that I promised to myself that I would achieve. The following that part of the ceremony I present my

mom and dad each with a pin that says Eagle Dad and one that says Eagle Mom, which makes them feel

that they also had accomplished something. At the end of the ceremony I was asked to say a few words

and I had brought a prepared speech because I’m not a fan of public speaking and I like to always be

prepared. After I give my speech, other people come up to say some words about me which a few did

and everyone clapped. Once the clapping had stopped we were told it was time to go eat and celebrate

my great achievement. This court of honor was one of the happiest moments in my life and I

accomplished something huge that not everyone can finish. There are only about six percent of all boys

that join Boy Scouts that come to actually make Eagle and then there is an even smaller percent of boys

that make Eagle all the way starting from tiger cubs. When I accomplish something like that with the

odds going against me it makes me feel like a real champion.

End of and Era

A death of a relative is hard on people and it is rough on the family with the grief and the setting

up of the arrangements. I have never really experienced that feeling more than once but that

was until the week leading up to my birthday when my grandfather had died. It was two weeks

before my birthday and my grandfather Angelo Stelluto was in the hospital for the second time

in four months and it was rough on my family because there was something about this stay that

just didn’t feel right. He was having many problems, one day it would look like he could get

better but the next day or even later in the day he would take a bad turn. As a week had passed

it was a few days before my birthday and my grandfather was intibated; which meant that he had a

breathing/ feeding tube put down his throat. When that occurred we knew that his condition was

getting really bad especially when the doctors said they were trying to get him a room in hospice care,

which meant that he was basically at the end of his life and we all knew it was time. The day was

February 2, 2009, I was at my Boy Scout meeting when I was surprised by my mom and sister with a

cake, I was shocked that they did that; my mom said that it was all they could do because of the rough

time that was presented. It was one of the worst birthday because of the circumstances and what would

occur on that Wednesday. I am half asleep around six-thirty because I had just got the news that school

was cancelled due to the snow storm that had happened that day, when all of a sudden I heard my mom

crying and that’s when I knew that my grandfather had died. So, I get up and go to my parents’ room to

talk and officially hear the news. My dad had received a phone-call from my uncle who was at the

hospital and had to wake my mom to tell her the news. I walk in to my parent’s room and get told the

news and I just stood the silently for a bit then I sat on the bed. After I sat down and thought for a

moment I had started to cry because I realized that I had lost someone in whom I was really close, I just

keep crying and it was hard because I had spent so much time with him and have done so much for him

that it was a tremendous loss. Then we decide to that we should get ready and head over to my

grandmother’s house. When we get there it was a really bad scene one I never thought I would see; my

grandmother was crying hysterically while being surrounded by some people. Throughout the whole day

people come by bringing food and other items for my grandmother. We spent almost the whole day at

the house eating what was brought and drank what we had around. We tried to make sure that my

grandmother could get as comfortable as possible, and then we had to start doing the inevitable, getting

the funeral together. After all the discussions I was assigned to be a pall bearer and I felt that it was a

neither honor because of how close I was to my grandfather. Something that my grandfather was

famous for was planning a head and doing things by the book which had helped us during the arranging

of the funeral. In 1983, my grandfather and picked out , test drove and bought a coffin so he was

comfortable, he picked out where his grave was going to be, also he picked the place where the

luncheon was going to be after the funeral, and he picked out the suit he was going to wear when he

was buried. He had did all of that because in late 1982 he had a triple bypass surgery and it had scared

him to death so he set everything up just in case. The funeral was set up for Saturday the seventh at ten

am with the viewing from eight to 10 at Our Lady of Ransom Church on Roosevelt Boulevard in

northeast Philadelphia. The day has come and we are starting to arrive at the church and now we are in

the receive line at the church and I see the large amount of people that are there and I am happy

because of all the people that came to show their support for the family. I start talking to people about

him and it gets harder and harder to talk I just break down all over again and I start crying because I just

miss so much. I was trying to keep myself together the rest of the and eventually do when we get to the

cemetery which we got there by police escort at St. Dominic’s church and back at the luncheon because

that is what he would have wanted. This experience was a really bad one for me but it showed me that

family is important to me and that you need family by you even in tough times. What made this whole

thing even worse was that my grandfather died on his and my grandmother’s wedding anniversary of

sixty-six years. 

Is the Modern Pregnant Woman Stupid?

I have seemed to noticed that today's seems to be a whole lot different then it used to be, especially the teenage/non married mother. Last friday i saw one of the dumbest fucking things i had ever seen while at school, i saw a pregnant girl light up and smoke a cigarette; WHAT THE FUCK IS HER DEAL???? Smoking while pregnant can really screw around with your baby; for example, it will  lower the amount of oxygen available to you and your growing baby, increase your baby's heart rate, increase the chances of miscarriage and stillbirth., increase the risk that your baby is born prematurely and/or born with low birth weight and finally it will increase your baby's risk of developing respiratory  problems. How messed up can someone one be when you decide to do something like that, i think she is trying to kill her baby or maybe she is so ignorant that just doesn't know but in todays society how would it be possible to not know something like this that is so important. Women like this girl shouldn't deserve to have a child when they act like this while pregnant imagine what kind of shit she could possibly put the baby into if she gave girl to a baby that was till alive; DON'T LET THIS WOMAN HAVE HER BABY.

Crusades and my Opinion

I have come to believe that

the Crusades were a success and that they needed to be done in order to

accomplish what the Church Desired from the Crusades. The knew that they had

a lot of power and they needed to accomplish the goal of trying to recapture the

Holy Land from the Muslims, so they figured that they could assemble a massive

army in order to defeat the Muslims. The army had a lot more trouble then what

was expected of their opposing forces, so the armies pillaged and plundered to

get what they felt was rightfully theirs; which was Jerusalem. If the Crusaders or

the Church tried to recapture the Holy Land without using aggression then would

they be able to accomplish what they wanted? The Church in no way shape or

form could have regained control of the Holy Land without using their immense

power because, if they had tried without out using aggression then no one would

listen or take them seriously.

Valice and Joe's WIngs and Adult Night

This is how Valice and my night went, on  October 3, 2009 we went to the wings to go on cootman by the toys r us and Valice ordered the hottest wings they had called HOMICIDE, they were so hot i dipped my pinky tip in the sauce and licked it and i started to choke and my lips turned purple,Valice was eating all the HOMICIDE wings and he was crying and sweating soo much and eventually he just gave up and said the wings were more of a man then he was.Then, we were like where should we go to now and i suggested the Adult stores by I-95 on harbison Ave, we went in the first one and we had our ID's checked as expected, so we continued on there was a GIANT picture of a black d**k right as we walked in , i tried to get Valice to take a picture of it but he was like hell no, as we were walkign through we noticed ho there were no one under the age of 50 in the stores besides us and it was as quiet as a library and the older guys were looking at us crazy for talking. after we thought we were done in the 1st store we noticed a back secion and we walked in there and u will never guess wut it was A BACK SECTION FULL OF NORMAL MOVIES.Its so backwards, like when u walk into a rental store and u have the back section of adult films well in the adult store they have a back section of normal films and i felt bad being in the normal section. so we left and walked into the adult store right next to it, we walked in there was a creepy old guy as a clerk who stared at me the whole time and we thought he liked me or something , very weird, there was just as man y older guys in there as before, just to make u feel better bout urself they had a football game on and posters of the phillies, i guess to say that ur still a normal person even though ur in an adult rental store, then we left as fast as we could because it was in the ghetto of northeast philly, so that was our night.

Michael Vivk SHould Be Forgiven

Michael Vick did a horrible thing by killings dogs for fun but he did his time and i believe he is truly sorry for what he did and people should get off of his case and let the man life his life.There have been a ton of NFL players who have done things just as bad if not worse then Michael, for example Ben Rothlesburger had raped a young girl in bathroom stall; when a player locks the stall and he tells his bodyguards to not let anyone in the bathroom isn't that pretty bad but why are people more inclined ti forgive Ben instead of Vick?Ray Lewis was charged in a suspected shooting death of 2 people in a bar and had also beat 2 other people with a bar stool and approximately 2 months or so after that had happened Lewis won superbowl MVP and today is considered one of the best LBs in the game how come he can be forgiven? and most people forget that even happened. Dante Stallworth killed a man in a drunken hit and run and im pretty sure he had played last season for the Cleavland Browns and virtually no one even remembered what he did, so why is it easy to forgive him also? Is it the fact that Vick just killed dogs would people be as pissed if he had an underground ring of illegal cat fighting ring where cats were killed or if he slaughtered a bunch of hamsters, no I don't think the effect of how angry people  would be would be among the same level of being pissed off, so why can't Vick be left alone. i personally Vick is being targeted because of how good of a player he was so certain types of people never want Vick to return to the player he was so that they don;t have 2 worry about Vick and get into his mind to fuck around with his brain/heart. Can Vick Please be left Alone!!!

Cell Phones and the Deli-Not a Good Mix

I work at PathMark Grocery Store in the Deli and i have come across some of the weirdest and craziest people ever since i have worked in the deli. The one thing that pisses me off the most is when people come up to the deli and they are talking on their cell phones, that is something that should not be allowed because people become even more retarded. People at the deli are already ignorant to the workers  but when they are on their cell phones they are even worse they ignore us half the time and when you say miss/sir is there anything else and they totally ignore is really rude. What pisses me off the most happened to me last night at work; it was me and two other guys were waiting on this really long lime and there was three ladies in line talking on their phones. When the one guy said who is next no one answered, he said who is next again and still no one answered and for the third time he said who is next and some lady in the back of the line said I'm next. The two ladies who were talking on their phones got pissed and said she was next and i got to defend the guy by saying that ma'am he said who was next three times and no one answered, she goes on to say that i don't care i was next and now i want to be waited on and get me some cheese. This whole time I'm waiting on somebody, i say mis you are going to have to wait but she said i was next now i need to be waited on and get me some cheese and in the back some lady say you guys need numbers. I say that miss the number machine has been broken for 7 months now, and the lady i was arguing with before said i agree but i was here last week and you guys had numbers but I told the lady that i have been working here almost 2 years and we haven't had numbers in like 7 months so could you calm down, and she says i don't care just get me some cheese. Why do people have to be assholes when they come to the deli, can't you guys just be nice for once, and by the way NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED!!!!!!!

When it comes to snow people are jackasses

I have noticed over the last few weeks that yes we have been getting a lot of snowand people seem to believe that the snow gives them an invitation to act like a bunch of jackasses. I would b driving down a paritially plower road and someone decides o let me double park in the middle of the road block the street so no one can get by and don't move because of the snow. People also feel the need to put their living room furniture outside to save a parking spot in the snow, that is just really stupid like i had spent 20 minutes before trying to find a spot down near my sisters house in university city because all the people use their furniture to save spots and it is annoying as shit and i getting pissed and I;m about to just get out of my car and move the chair, bucket, hamper, small couch etc....I was driving home yesterday after picking my dad up from the frankford terminal and i was trying to make the turn to get into my driveway and some jackass decided to bouble park in the middle of the street that was only plowed to be like one and a half lanes instead of 2 lanes so i tried to squeak by i almost did but my tiers slipped and i almost hit is car. So I'm just stopped there for a bit and this guy comes by and is talking on his cell phone and it is clearly his truck now but he continues to stay there and talk on his phone and ignorring the fact that I am liek 2 inches from his truck so my dad got out of the car to yell at him to move the car, the man eventually moved his truck but the look he gave us was like we were interrupting him. Also, when hit snows people become THE worst pedestrians you will ever see, they never know where to walk, ignorant as shit and decided to walk in the middle of the street and they get pissed when we honk at them to move over. Why do people get the impression that snow equals an invitation to act liek a fucking retard???

My Best Friend

My best friend is someone i have know since i was like 8 or 9 years old, and I'm like 20 years old now so that is a logn time. My best friend's name is Meg and yes my best friend is a girl, i do have some guy friends that I would call best friends but i have not know one single longer than Meg. We met at a swim club that we both I belong to, her parents took control of the snack bar place and that's how she in essence joined the club. I started to notice her more and more and eventually we got to talking and messing around like young kids do and we have been friends ever since that occurred. There is a lot that would describe Meg, but let me say this Meg and I have dated before and we decided that we shouldn't date anymore and that experience has probably made our friendship even stronger. She is 2 years younger than Iam so she is a senior in high school now but that doesn't matter to me because she is the best. Meg has a personality that gets her through everyday life with her head up high, she tells things like thay are and doesn't sugar coat things. I guess what makes keeps telling myself that she is my best friend is that we are so close we talk a lot and trust each other with a lot of stuff and also our families are really close also so that helps a lot. Meg trys to stay happy when she can and she makes me happy every time we hangout our we just see eachother but that doesn't mean we don't argue or fight. We have fought and argue many times before but what makes her special is her extreme ability to forgive and forget, i may have wronged her in the past but my deication to our friendship and her gracious personality i have been able to try to keep up our friendship. One thing i didn't realize was how much she truly meant to me, I found that out when she went away to national guard boot camp in North Carolina . When she was away I had missed her a lot and missed her company(like spending time 2gether, texting, talking or just driving around) before she had left i took those things for granted; but  I don't do that anymore because i would never want to lose her as a friend.

Boy Scouts in Philadelphia?

I am an avid member and leader of the Boy Scouts of America and an Eagle Scout myself and have been involved in scouting since i was in the first grade. Since i have been involved for soo long in scouting a certain topic had really began to get me pissed. Somewhere about two years  ago the city of Philadelphia was trying to change a certain rule in Boy Scouts which had been in place for a long time. That rule was that no gays were allowed and also no openly gay leaders were also allowed, basically a don't ask don't tell type of ordeal. The city wanted to change that rule because they felt it was discrimination, and they city tried to do that by saying they either had to leave their office on race street in center city or move their office to the main office in Valley Forge. That was beginning to piss many people off including myself, because the city is on this whole ordeal about going anti-discriminatory, so  they want to throw a treasured organization's office inorder to supposedly make things better for the organization and for the city. They are 100 percent wrong, for the boy scouts based in Philadelphia to change that there would have to be some kind of massive nationwide council just to consider the change but I know and what the city eventually realized through years of court hears will never happen. I'm glad the city lost this case because they don't deserve to be screwing with something as important as the Boy Scouts, and also the Boy Scouts are a pretty powerful organization so they will never lose a fight like the one they just won.
